    14 Romantic Dinner Ideas

Valentine’s Day is almost here and it’s time to start planning. It’s not always the easiest to get out on February 14 for a date night. Life happens! Work, kids, activities, finding an available sitter, and going out for Valentine’s Day isn’t going to happen for us this year.

It isn’t the end all be all? And it’s really not worth all the stress. I’m not going to miss fighting crowds, finding something I like on a Prix fixed menu, finding something to wear, and finding a babysitter that is willing to work Valentine’s Day.

Staying at home doesn’t sound so bad. Right? Join us! Put the kids to bed early or rent a movie for them. Have a date night in the comfort of your own home!

However, that doesn’t mean all your date ideas have to be confined to the home. When you are thinking about date ideas, select a location that is conducive to a conversation, make sure that you are ready to converse. This may seem obvious, but sometimes nerves get in the way and can make it challenging to get the talk-track going. A great way to get past this roadblock is by taking some time to write down a few thought-provoking questions for your date. Make a note of these on a notecard and have them ready in your pocket if needed. Though it might feel a bit embarrassing to have to pull a notecard out of your pocket, the right date will appreciate the effort you put in place.

Check out one of our 14 Romantic Dinner Ideas and create your own DIY romantic dinner, date night for Valentine’s Day.

The good news, all these romantic dinners are easy to make. Some are even made in the crockpot. Set a beautiful table, add some fresh flowers, make a salad, a favorite side, and a dessert. Bam Romantic dinner! Pair dinner with your favorite wine and enjoy your Valentine’s Day in the comfort of your pj’s and from your own home! Sounds perfect! You know what I’ll be doing!

These are great ideas, I need to find out if we are celebrating Valentine’s Day this year. I love a good short rib though, yummy.

My husband and I were thinking of keeping on our paleo track even for Vday. Love those paleo dinner options!

These are great ideas. We usually stay in for Valentine’s Day and enjoy a meal together, so I might have to come back for some inspiration this year.

A romantic dinner date at home is definitely a good idea. In fact, it provides a lot more seclusion and with the right setting makes an excellent setting for a romantic dinner. These recipes are all geared to add that extra zing.

I am not fretting over Valentine’s day either. I’ve already got a card and some chocolates. We won’t be going on a date night because we have kids and no sitter, but we will have a fun time as a family.

What great recipes! We are vegetarian and dairy free so it’s hard to find lots of yummy dinner recipes.

It’s fun to go out to dinner but with the crowd on Valentine’s Day, it can be a little tiring! I think staying at home and cooking lovely recipes is just as good –even better! These are really awesome ideas, I’d love to take note of them!

What some fantastic romantic meal ideas for Valentines, they all sound amazing but I think I might have to go for the Jerk Pork Chops here! That sounds right up my street.

These are all great date night ideas! My husband and I have just started going on one date a month, which is amazing. But I like the idea of doing a few ones where we stay in.

A romantic dinner is a must on Valentines Day. Granted it’s a romantic dinner for the entire family but I always like to make a little something special for my husband. I think he would like Pulled Pork Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms.

I am a big fan of well made ratatouille. I love to make it and serve it with fresh baked bread. One with a nice “chew” to it. I want to try your quinoa stuffed peppers, too!

Give my husband a nice big steak, with baked potato and all fixing on top. Add some fresh vegetable and a salad and he would be in heaven. Doesn’t take much to please this man.

Those are all yummy sounding dinner ideas. We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day in our house, so for us it’s just another night – so we will definitley be in that night 🙂
