We’ve all had those days… You know the one where nothing seems to go your way! The oh seriously I’m not superwomen! Is this really my life right now! Yup, that was my day! Seriously!
The day started with taking little dude to swimming lessons, went home, did some laundry, some work, the little dude had a fabulous 3-hour nap! Enjoyed my time, caught up on work, and then the phone rang. The vets office called to see if we were picking up the Boys! OMG how could I forget to get them! Never! I was just waiting on a little dude to get up from his nap.
Once little dude woke up, we got in the car and headed to the vets. We picked up the dogs and headed back to the car. I unlocked the car, started it, and put the boys in the front passenger seat. I closed the door, then turned to open little dudes door, and can’t get in. Yup! One of the dogs pressed the lock button! The car was running, my purse, phone, and dogs were locked in the car and little dude & I were locked out! Seriously!
So back to the vet’s office we went to use their phone. They looked up the number to AAA and I called. While in the vet’s office a man asked me where my extra key was. I told him it was at home and then he asked me if I can call my husband or a neighbor or someone to go to my house and get my key. Seriously! Like I needed someone telling me what I needed to do! Like I didn’t feel dumb enough!
The sweet guy from AAA came, unlocked the car door and we were on our way. I felt like I completely lost my brain. I just couldn’t help but think how lucky I was and how much worse the situation could have been! Thank goodness!
However, life gets crazy and sometimes your left to balance everything single handed. It’s not always easy but suck it up buttercup! There is always a beautiful day following a crazy one! So my lesson in all of this and maybe it was there starring at me all along, but sometime you need a reminder. To stop, take a step back, and slow down! You don’t have to always be superwomen! And every now and then superwomen needs a break from juggling everything! It’s ok. Superwomen can step back from saving the world and family.
Knowing yourself, your limits, and when you need you time is huge! This superwomen needs her day! And a day she will have! Tomorrow is always a new day and it’s a beautiful one! Just have to open your eyes to see it!!
