    Snow Play Floridian Style

Snow Day Adventures… Snow Play Floridian Style

It was a whooping 1 degrees out and the news reported that we were in a deep freeze! Warnings to stay put and not go outside were all over the news! There was absolutely no way I was about to go anywhere! My poor dogs wouldn’t even step foot outside! That should tell you something! However, my Little Dude was itching to go out into the snow and play. What my little dude didn’t realize is that we were Floridians and this is our first experience with winter. We can’t handle 1 degree temperatures! Nor do we have the clothes to hand that low of temperatures and wind.

So we brought the outside in! The Floridian version of snow play! Staying warm and cozy inside while still playing with the snow! I filled a bucket of snow and dumped it in the sink. We played with sand toy & trucks in the snow! We even built a Snowman! We stayed warm & cozy inside! Little Dude had a blast!

Have your own Snow Day Adventures inside! Fill a bucket with snow, then empty it into the sink. Place a towel on the floor and get a stool. Grab the sand toys, water toys, trucks and there you have it… Indoor snow play and you don’t even have to bundle up or leave the house! Easy clean up! Just let it melt in the sink or turn the hot water on! Happy Snow Day!

That little snow man is so cute and what a great idea! My son loves playing in the snow but the past two days have been so cold that we’ve just been going out for 20-30 minutes at a time. In and out and in and out – bringing the snow in is the perfect solution!!

Very clever! I wish I had seen this when my kids were little and we lived in snowy areas. I was not a fan of outdoor snow play. I blame my Californian roots.

What a great idea! I’m from Orlando, so we don’t have snow here, but if some fluke incident ever happens, I will remember this. Pinning you from PINcentive.

We are feeling the same way here in NC! I despise being cold and my pooch is the same way! Bless her heart I think she holds it until she is about to burst! I think this is a great idea! Why didn’t I think of that when my son was young? Have a great (and hopefully warmer) day!

Thanks for stopping by! I’m officially ready to move to Hawaii! 3 1/2 months in the Northeast is way then enough time for this Floridian! How it warms up for you in NC! Stay warm!

I love this idea–you are one creative mama! I’m a native South Carolinian, and I cannot imagine being in a place where it is ONE degree outside!! If I lived somewhere that was THAT cold, you better believe, we’d be playing inside, too. Stay warm!

Thank you! We move to PA from FL the end of Sept. Trying to get use to it! It’s crazy cold!
