    Mommy Kit

    ,

    Mommy Kit
I’m not sure about your car, but my car seems to be the catchall or home to ridiculous items. I needed to get majorly organized. I had Little Dude’s toys and books, jackets, acorns and leaves that Little Dude was saving for the squirrels, and just junk everywhere. I found myself needing items that I did not always have with me, but always seemed to have a whole lot of other junk, which I never needed.

Little Dude and I went to a Mommy and Me class every week. However, before the class started, we headed to the park to meet up with another mom and her son. One day at the park, my poor Little Dude got so many bug bites, and I had nothing to put on them to stop the itch. I felt so bad. There was nothing in my first aid kit for bug bites. We were so rushed that morning that, I forgot to put bug spray on us before we left the house.

Sometimes it was just so hard for me to remember everything you needed for the day without packing up the whole house, and getting out of the house on time. I figured that there needed to be a better way, and I needed to get myself organized. I decided that keep some valuable, must have items in my car was the only way to go. It would save me time and keep my brain from trying to remember everything! Instead of having to pack up the whole house each time we left the house. Or worse I could forget a major item when I was rushing to get out of the house.

Mommy Kit that stayed in the car, I would never be without something again! I kept it small and compacted, so it fit in the trunk! My husband liked it so much I even made one for his car too!

Here is what my Mommy Kit Included:

    1. Depending on how old your children are diapers or a travel potty and wipes.
Extra set of clothes, underwear and socks, and shoes or flip- flops for each child in your family.
    2. Old towel and paper towels- to wipe down any wet playground equipment,
    3. Disinfecting wipes
    4. Bug spray
    5. Sunblock
    6. Stain stick
    7. Plastic bag for any dirty items or clothes.
    8. Benadryl creams for any bug bits
    9. And a first aid kit!

This is a great idea! The only thing that gives me pause is that if sunscreen gets too warm, as it could in a car in the summer, it looses its effectiveness. I’m putting together a summer bag (just a big tote with a bunch of essentials like this to bring along on our adventures) so I would maybe keep our sunscreen there, but I LOVE the idea of having a bin or box that stays in the car with a bunch of necessities that we never seem to have! lol I may have to do this so our summer bag isn’t totally overflowing with essentials. Thanks for the great idea!! xo

Great idea! Especially the Benadryl cream! I cannot count the number of times my kids got bitten by hairy bugs whenever we go out, and they break out in rashes.
