    Birthday Love

    ,

    Week of Birthdays

Today is my best friend, my soul-mate, the love of my life & my Little Dudes father’s birthday! Crazy to think that this was the 10th birthday we had celebrated together! I remember celebrating his 30th birthday together and I surprised him with a huge party! Now ten years later our adventures together continue from getting married, having a family and most recently moving cross country! I couldn’t imagine it any other way! Happy Birthday Babe!

Our family tradition was to celebrate a week of birthdays! So each day starting the week before the birthday we start celebrating by giving something small, making something or cooking a favorite meal or dessert. This is always my favourite part because I’m a massive foodie, especially when it comes to desserts like chocolate cakes and profiteroles which I always get when it’s my turn. Each day is special and all about the birthday person! How do you celebrate birthday’s in your family?

    Island time cupcakes

    Island Time Cupcakes Decorations

    What you need:

Follow your favorite cupcake recipe or use a mix

Make your favorite frosting or use pre- made

    Blue food coloring

    1 bag of Gummy Lifesavers

1 bag of Teddy Graham Crackers

    Toothpick umbrellas

    How to:

Add a few drops of blue food coloring to white frosting (I use a cream cheese frosting)

Put the frosting into a decorator bottle and carefully frost cupcakes making a circular pattern (that will be the water)

Use a Gummy Lifesavers to make the raft and press it onto the center of the cupcake

Put the Teddy Graham crackers in the center of the Gummy Saver

    Then add the umbrella

    Enjoy
