    Ahoy Matey

    ,

Ahoy Matey! Little Dude turned 3! So crazy I can’t believe it, not sure where time went! Little Dude loves pirates and Peter Pan! When I asked him who he wanted to invite to his birthday party he said “the Tic Toc Crocodile” and listed a bunch of friend’s & family’s names. That was how the theme was picked! Little Dude also wanted pizza, fruit & cake pops for his party too! And since it was August in Florida a pool party was a must!

We were taking a weekend get-a-away up to Walt Disney World and I thought it would be so fun to celebrate Little Dude’s 3rd birthday while we were there! We were so fortunate to have some of our amazing friends and family make the trip with us to make Little Dude’s 3rd Birthday so memorable & magically!

Here’s how it turned out! Arrh Matey!

    Decorations:

At the party story I found a blow up crocodile that we blew up and floated in the pool. I also found a blow up Treasure chest that I used to put the Pirate Loot (AKA- goodie bags) in. I went to the fabric store and got 2 yards of burlap and 2 yards of pirate print fabric to put on the tables. At the craft store I found some skulls and a skeleton. I tied red bandanas around the skulls.

I had 3 tables set up.
The first table was decorated with a black table cloth with the burlap on top, beads, pirate tattoos, the blow up treasure chest with Pirate’s Loot inside, a red bin to put gifts in and “Fred” the skeleton that Little Dude decided to name.

The second table was decorated with a black table cloth with the pirate fabric in the center. I also put one of the skulls on the table with a few beads. This table was for the food (pizza, fruit, salad), plates, napkins & silverware rolls.

The third table was also decorated with a black table cloth with the pirate fabric in the center and a skull and some beads. This table was for drinks, water, ice, and cups.

    Food:
I used the hotel catering department for the food and drinks.
I ordered cake pops from a local bakery and they let me borrow the stand. They came out adorable and they had little pirates on the tags. Everyone loved them! I thought they were awesome & easy! And I didn’t have to worry about cutting and serving cake!

    Pirate’s Loot:
I use brown paper lunch bags and made labels. I cut the labels out and carefully burnt the edges with a lighter. I used twinge to tight them closed.

Inside the goodie bags I put Pirates Booty, Pirate Fruit Snacks, whistles, beads, gold coins, skateboard toy, & twirly straw.

It couldn’t have worked out more perfect! We even had the hotel DJ near us playing music and he conducted games for the kids! It was great and the kids loved it! We had an amazing weekend and had a blast celebrating Little Dude’s Birthday all weekend long!!
