Last week, I had an opportunity to attend the Toy Insider’s annual HoliDAY of Play event in New York City. The event show cased what is predicted to be the hottest toys of the holiday season. The Toy Insider’s Hottest Toy Lists were broken into 3 categories. The categories were Hot 20, Top Tech 12, and Holiday 2014 for ages 0-2, Preschool ages 3-5, Grade school ages 6- 8 and Tween ages 9+. The Toy Inside’s panel of Toy Experts review each of the toy’s in the Hottest Toy List based on 5 Skill Keys:
Development of Large and Small Motor Skills
Social Interaction
Emotional and Social Intelligence
School Readiness
Smart Tech
