In October 2012, we embarked on another crazy adventure. I traded in my flip- flops for a pair of snow boots after fourteen long years in Florida! We sold our house and moved cross- country to the freezing cold aka Philadelphia. I left my stellar career to stay home with my Little Dude and write full- time.
The Northeast charmed us and we loved the ability to take day trips to NYC! Visit American History in Philadelphia, hike where Washington crossed the Delaware River, and the ability to step back in time on a buggy ride through Lancaster. Experiencing all the Dutch influence and my favorite the soft pretzels, the pubs, and a REAL Philly Cheese Steak.
Our adventure is continuing and we are moving again! The official count down is on! Movers have been scheduled and the chaos has begun. And if you missed our big announcement and giveaway we are moving to Jacksonville Florida.
We’re very excited to get back to the Sunshine State and say good bye to winter. Hubs likes to tell people that he is allergic to winter and that’s why we are going back. Not really the case, but it makes for a good conversation.
Hubs was promoted again and his new job is in Florida which made it easy to say yes to another move. It’s only been 18 months that Little Dude and I were here. We’ve made some amazing friends. However, we are very excited to get back for a few reasons.
Most of our family is in Florida with the exception of a few relatives. 90% of our fabulous friends. The Florida Gators. The beach. And of course sunshine!
Jacksonville is new to us. Hubs and I have only driven through Jacksonville. We’ve never spent anytime there and we don’t know anyone yet.
We love adventure and this is just another one of those! Follow along with us!
