    Stars & Stripes

Stars & Strips, 4th of July, Labor Day, Kids, Crafts, Memorial Day Craft, Kids craft, Fingerprints, Kids Fingerprint Patriotic Craft, DIY, Star StripesStars & Stripes in honor of all the Patriotic Holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day! This Stars & Stripes craft is super fun and easy kids fingerprint patriotic craft! I can not believe it is already the Fourth of July! Seriously, this summer is flying. Memorial Day kicked off the summer like yesterday and Labor Day will be here in another blink of the eye. And before we know it summer will be over and the kids will be heading back- to- school.

Little Dude misses school and his friends. He has been practicing reciting the pledge of allegiance every morning. I thought this would be a fun craft to build on being an American. Teaching Little Dude about America and why we celebrate these summer holidays.

Little Dude & I made this fun Fingerprint Flags in honor of being an America and for all the summer patriotic holidays! This project came out so cute. He, of course, loved getting messy and painting with his fingers. This Stars & Stripes craft can get messy, but the outcome is impressive, and it is fun! Little Dude was so proud of his flag he made and learned about America in the process.

    How to:

    1.  Put some red paint & blue paint on a plate.
    2. Dip four fingers in red paint and stripe across the paper for the flag “stripes”, leaving one corner of the paper un-striped.
    3. In the un- striped area, dip the pointer finger into blue paint and press onto the paper 50x to make the fingerprints as the “stars.”
    4. Let it dry.
    5. Voila!

Happy Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day!!!
