Date Night! Hubs and I had our first date night since we moved to Jacksonville almost 8 weeks ago. It was our First Date Night alone without my entourage, AKA Little Dude. There are so many new things for us to explore in Jacksonville. It’s all new and very exciting to us. Places to go and new restaurants to try.

Hubs made a reservation. All he told me was that I was going to love where we would be going and that I needed to get dress up. I love surprises and dressing up. Immediately, I started planning my perfect outfit. I decided on a black cocktail dress, black peep-toe heels, gold accessories and my adorable gold clutch purse!

It’s not just when I travel. It’s all the time. You know those people that can never not have a purse… yes, that me. However, I’m always prepared. My everyday purse was not going to work with my outfit and I had to downsize my purse essentials to fit inside my adorable gold clutch purse. Check out how I made it work.

How to Downsize Your Purse and Still Have The Essentials

    1. How to Make a Purse Essential Mini Pack.

    2. Go through your everyday purse and sort out your must-haves.

    3. Remove your drivers license/ id, credit card, and money from your wallet and put it in the clutches one of the built- in pockets.

    4. Find a small zip or snap close bag, change purse, etc. Ideal size~ 5 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide.

    5. Then add in your must haves.

    Here’s My Must Have List:

Moist Towelettes~ Yes, I love the single use moist towelettes the ones with alcohol in them. I think they are better than hand sanitizer. You can actually see the dirt and grime coming off on the towelette.

Advil Tablet Vial~ You never know when a headache could come on and it’s always good to be prepared. Nothing’s stronger, longer lasting or better on your tough aches and pains than Advil, and nothing works on more pains than Advil (among OTC pain relievers). The original round tablets providing safe, effective pain relief for over 25 years.

Hand lotion~ It is always nice to put on hand lotion after you wash your hands. Unfortunately, not all public bathrooms are stocked with hand lotion. I use a sample size round container and put my favorite scented lotion in it.

Sample Size Purfume~ It’s nice to fresh up and smell good.

ChapStick Total Hydration~ I love lipstick, but I’m not always the best at reapplying it. I love having ChapStick on hand because I will reapply it. I’m obsessed with this ChapStick Total Hydration Coconut advanced nourishing formula with argan oil and avocado butter and rosehip oils instantly smooths and moisturizes your lips.

Fashion Tape~ I love keeping some fashion tape on hand for any fashion emergencies or mishaps.

Emergen- C~ Erring on the side of cautious. It’s always a good idea to keep an Emergen- C handy to give you more healthy days and more healthy nights and “Let Your Healthy Out”!

Adhesive Bandages~ It might be the boy mom in me, but it’s good to have a few in case of a blister from cute shoes or minor booboo.

Hair Tie~ I think any girl with long hair would agree. It’s a must.

What is your one of your date night essentials you can’t live without?

      I’m still in the process of downsizing for every day use. I’ve managed to step down in size from the giant diaper bag, to an oversized side body purse. I’m tempted to try to go down a size again, but with three little ones someone is always asking me to hold something so for now I need the space. I do like to keep my essentials organized! LOVE your video! {client}

I could carry almost nothing…wallet and phone are my only must haves! I guess whatever lipstick would also be good.

I try and I try, but my purse only stays organized for just a week or so and then it goes back to a free for all.
