Dear Old Friend

Saying goodbye is never easy!  Oh great one who has been with me for decades! Providing me with memories, we’ve shared of all the places we’ve been!

We’ve been to some amazing places together! From the days, I was a single girl. You were with me every step of the way! On the first trip with my boyfriend (now hubs), Dominican Republic and on seven cruises. You were there on our trip as an Engaged couple to Alaska!

My bachelorette party in Key West, my wedding day and my honeymoon in Antigua. All amazing memories we shared.

You were there when hubs and I met Oprah in Rome and came along as we traveled through Italy. You journey by train with us to France and chilled in Paris. We shared amazing memories you and I.

There you were again, when I became a first- time mom. Packed and sharing in all the fun. You were their making amazing memories.

On our first family road trips to Key West with our 5 month old son for a wedding. Our babies first trip to San Francisco at 8 months old. To New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Chicago, Indianapolis, Florida, Ohio, and every one of our countless trips to Disney through the years.

We’ve shared a fabulous family vacation in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and aboard the Disney Dream. You were at all my family and friends’ weddings. Oh the memories. You have been there on the road trips to West Virginia and Florida. You even relocated to Philly with us.

I knew my things were always well protected. Even though, at times, I over stuffed you. You never broke, came undone, or lost your shape.

I’m sorry but it’s time I retire you to a better place. Our adventures together end here but my adventures will continue on, without you. Okay, I replaced you with Violet, the newer improved model of hard suitcases… RIP soft black suitcase, I will never be able to replace the memories we shared together.
